Tasty Tips
Toss sweet potato or squash cubes with a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper; roast on a baking sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until browned and tender.
To warm sweet potatoes before adding them to the bowl, use a larger skillet and push Gnocchi to one side of the skillet halfway through cooking and reheat the sweet potato on the other side.
What Makes It A Buddha Bowl?
A Buddha bowl is a vegetarian dish in a single bowl or high-rimmed plate, featuring small portions of various foods that are served cold. Some of these ingredients include whole grains like quinoa or brown rice, plant proteins such as chickpeas or tofu, and a variety of vegetables. By combining these ingredients in one dish, a Buddha bowl provides a balanced and nutritious meal that is both visually appealing with bright colours and satisfying with fresh flavours.
