HEAT oil in a non-stick skillet set over medium heat.
ADD Olivieri® Pesto Mozzarella Skillet Gnocchi; sauté for 5 minutes or until gnocchi are golden brown and slightly crispy. Remove from heat.
THREAD 2 to 3 antipasto items onto skewers or picks; finish with a warm, crisp piece of gnocchi.
SERVE warm or at room temperature with pesto for dipping and/or drizzle with balsamic glaze (if using).
Get creative! Use a variety of antipasto and vary the items paired with the gnocchi to create a colourful and tasty appetizer platter.
For an even simpler option, combine all the antipasto accompaniments on a platter, add the warm gnocchi and cocktail picks to allow everyone to assemble their own custom two-bite appetizers.
What is Antipasto?
Have you ever wondered why Italians use the term “antipasto”? In traditional Italian cuisine, a meal typically begins with a small snack known as an antipasto, which literally translates to “before the meal” in English. This can consist of hot or cold appetizers such as cheese, soppressata, bread, and marinated vegetables.
