For an elevated version of classic mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce, these Olivieri® Fresh Cheese Filled Skillet Gnocchi are perfect for both kids and adults alike! Made with quality ingredients and stuffed with a combination of four cheeses like mozzarella, Emmental, comté and white cheese, enjoy gooey goodness in every bite.
And unlike other mozzarella sticks, there is no need for deep frying as this recipe uses skillet sautéed potato and cheese gnocchi. All you need are 10 minutes and 3 ingredients to make this wonderfully delicious and convenient meal. As the gnocchi are fresh, they only need to be sautéed in the pan with a bit of oil until crispy and tasty.
Serve with fresh tasting homemade or store-bought marinara sauce on the side for dipping or toss everything together. To make it a meal, add in cooked ground beef, turkey or Italian sausage along with sautéed vegetables of choice. You can also swap in Olivieri® Italian Sausage Sauce or Olivieri® Creamy Rosé Sauce made with just a touch of cream.
Serve these cheesy skillet gnocchi for an indulgent event appetizer or snack on game day right alongside these Gnocchi Pizza Bites wrapped in sopressata.
They also make a wonderful breakfast, lunch or dinner served with any of our specialty sauces. Make it a filling meal to start the day like a Loaded Bacon and Egg Breakfast Skillet or even a sweet version like these cinnamon and sugar Churro-Style Gnocchi Bites. Yes, they are even great served with sweet ingredients, just make sure to swap in Olivieri® Skillet Classic Gnocchi without the cheese filling.
